Mohsen Sazegara, who set up the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, has spent the past 20 years living in the US after he became a dissident against the Iranian regime.

Local police said they were not yet able to comment and it is unclear whether the background of the attack was criminal or terrorism.

This is not about the Islamic Republic threatening the Jewish state. This is about a jihadist bully threatening the global village, starting with the Jews. 

"Media exposure is vital to our ability to reach new markets and achieve our business goals," Vice President for External Relations Shay Gal said.

The guidelines do not distinguish between targeting Jews and targeting Zionists, nor do they address the presence of anti-Zionist Jews in many of the campus protests.

The Houthis said it attacked the tanker in part because Delta Tankers' violated its ban on "entry to the ports of occupied Palestine," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a tv speech.
