Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with the US Secretary of Commerce and United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on Sunday night in Washington.The two are set to discuss the issue of the 17% tariffs imposed by the president on Israel.

US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Sunday said President Donald Trump's tariffs would remain in place "for days and weeks," and that some islands inhabited by penguins were included on the list so that countries could not use them as a loophole."What happens is, if you leave anything off the list, the countries that try to basically arbitrage America, go through those countries to us," he told CBS News' "Face the Nation" program."There's no postponing. They are definitely going to stay in place for days and weeks," Lutnick added.

Foreign ministers from the G7 nations called China's recent military drills around Taiwan provocative and destabilizing while urging dialogue for the "peaceful resolution of issues.""These increasingly frequent and destabilizing activities are raising cross-Strait tensions and put at risk global security and prosperity," the top diplomats said in a joint statement on Sunday."G7 members continue to encourage the peaceful resolution of issues through constructive cross-Strait dialog."Last week, China's military concluded two-day war games around Taiwan in which it held long-range, live-fire drills in the East China Sea, marking an escalation of exercises around the island.

Metulla residents are set to petition the High Court on Monday for an exclusion to the government's plans to return residents to the north.The residents demanded that the emergency response team be trained and regulated, that the state of the infrastructure be addressed, and that all weapons be removed from public and private places."The residents of Metulla will return in an orderly manner with their heads held high to a town that will be ready to reabsorb them and provide security and services as required by any city in Israel," Metulla Council head David Azoulay stated.Azoulay also sent letters to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, Northern Command commander Maj.-Gen. Ori Gordin, and Defense Minister Israel Katz, among others, to request the return be postponed "and to not give up on security."
